NFL Career

Although a short one, Odell Beckham Junior's NFL Career up to now has been nothing short of spectacular. From making  incredible one hand catches, to breaking all kinds of single-season records, Beckham has truly emerged as one of the leagues' top competitors at the wide receiver position. His amazing one-handed catch has raised him to a national stardom level in just his first NFL season. Let's just say the future looks bright for the talented young football player.

"The Catch"

After missing the first 5 regular season games of the 2014 season with a hamstring injury, things were looking down for the rookie and the Giants. After suffering the loss of star wide receiver Victor Cruz, somebody needed to step up. That person was number 13 Odell Beckham Junior. In his NFL debt, he hauled in four catches for 44 yards and a touchdown. After that it was all up-hill from there. Recording over 100 receiving yards in most of the rest of his games. On a Monday night game against the Dallas Cowboys Beckham made a spectacular one-handed grab that was named "The Catch". It is arguably one of the best catches ever made, with many, including NBA superstar Lebron James claiming it was the nicest catch he had ever seen. In December, the NFL decided to put his game-worn jersey into the hall of fame in Canton, Ohio.

Odell Beckham - "The Rookie"

In the final regular season game versus the Philadelphia Eagles, a Conference rival, Odell accumulated 185 receiving yards which was his season and career-high. This was also a franchise record for a Giants rookie. He is the fourth rookie in the history of the NFL to have 1, 300+ receiving yards in one season. He is the first rookie to ever have 90+ receptions and 10+ touchdowns in a season. He was named first replacement in the 2015 Pro Bowl and finally replaced star receiver Calvin Johnson due to injury.
