Early Years

Odell Beckham Junior was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on November 5th 1992. He attended Isidore Newman High School in New Orleans. Beckham was a multi-sport athlete, excelling in football, track and field, and basketball. He played wide receiver, running back, quarterback and cornerback. Odell was a very gifted athlete who was very versatile. In his rookie season, he managed to bring in 10 receiving touchdowns and 3 touchdowns on the ground. As a senior, OBJ had over 1, 000 receiving yards and 19 touchdowns. He was the second player in school history to reach over 1, 000 receiving yards. He also rushed for 331 yards and added another 6 scores on the ground, and passed for 90 yards. Coming out of high school Odell was rated a 4-star recruit and was ranked the number 6 wide receiver and number 40 overall player in the nation. As a Louisiana born, he chose Louisiana State University (LSU) over offers from many other division I schools, including Ole Miss, Tulane, Nebraska, Tulsa and many others. He then played in the 2011 Army All-American Bowl.
